Governance
Corporate Governance is the expression which describes the way in which companies regulate the way they behave. The group’s management structure, the way that responsibility is delegated, the rules and policies which govern the way employees must behave and the measurement and auditing of compliance with such rules and policies – are all part of corporate governance.
The tone is set by the board of course – and it is the board's job to provide entrepreneurial leadership of the company within a framework of prudent and effective controls. The governance framework adopted by the board during the period covered by this report is the Combined Code on Corporate Governance published in June 2008.
